Fated - Maria Robinson

Miriam:

Just fated, I guess.
Away from a home that's no longer by home.
Gone from children that no cannot really know me.
Departed from a husband who loved me but never knew me.
I'm alone yet smothered with relationships..
I'm solitary yet tangled with connections.
All I really want to do is walk the beach here in Israel and reflect back on my fifty years in New York.
Stone after stone. Footprint after footprint.

  1. Nice how this one turned into a poem, that's been happening a lot lately with your pieces. Nice rhythm with this one, beautiful language.
